Hmm.

I do mainly use the laptop with the lid closed plugged into a keyboard and mouse (plus some friends) via USB.

However, when using the laptop undocked, I guess I’m one of those people who doesn’t get the problem. Trackpad seems fine to me, but caveat: I have not checked whether my palm is being detected.
